How It Works
Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.
Receives
Signal
The booster reaches out to the cell tower to access voice, text and data signals while parked.
Boosts
Signal
The booster receives the outside signal, amplifies it up to 32x and sends it to the inside antenna.
Expands
Signal
The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal to devices inside the RV

Review Snapshot
I would return this if I could......it just doesn't work.
I installed the 4G X RV in my motorhome. Got the green light on the unit. With unit off I get 1 bar, with the unit on I get ONE bar and sometimes less. There is no increase in service or signal. I'd return it in a minute if I could.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Question: Hi, If I move the internal antena outside when camping, will it give me signal near the antena? What is the range of the interior antena on the RV model? Thank you.
Answer: Thank you for your question! The internal antenna needs to remain inside. It would be against FCC regulations to broadcast the signal outdoors. The desktop antenna can broadcast the signal up to 0 feet. It is best to keep your cellular devices within 4 to 10 ft for the best connection. If you place your antenna near a door or window, the signal may be strong enough to where it reaches outdoors but it may not reach far. Question: How does it know what carrier you are using. How does your cell phone know to use the we boost instead of the incoming signal.
Answer: Thank you for your question! The booster will automatically increase whichever signal is available as long as it is supported by our boosters. It is important to keep in mind that the coverage and boost expectation of a booster is highly dependent on the outside signal strength. For example, lets say that you need to amplify both Verizon and AT&T, but Verizon has a stronger signal. The Verizon user will most likely see a stronger increase. The booster will not only automatically amplify the available signal, but it will also automatically broadcast it to the available phones. Once your phone is near the internal antenna, it will automatically receive the amplified signal over the weaker signal being sent out by the towers. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: Can I connect a laptop to this system? Or only cellphones?
Answer: Thank you for your question! Any cellular device can receive the boosted signal as long as their carrier is supported and available in the area. If the laptop is using a cellular hotspot, the hotspot itself may be able to benefit from the boosted signal. To clarify, the booster will only amplify a cellular signal and not WiFi. If you have any other questions in regards to this, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: I have a new truck with cell data. Will it work with it
Answer: It depends, but not likely since the inside coverage is limited. Usually, devices that are installed in vehicles are somewhere hidden and are hard to access. These amplifiers are for personal use but can be helpful. It most likely will not help with your cellular FOR your vehicle but it still will help you receive signal inside your vehicle. Question: When parked can a elevated pole mounted external antenna be connected instead of mobile antenna on RV
Answer: Hey there! Yes, it's possible. You'll have to have the correct adapters to be able to connect the antenna depending on which model you receive. If you use a directional antenna, it cannot be used while the RV is moving since it's designed for stationary use. If you have any issues or if there are any other questions or find concerns, please let us know! Question: What's the difference between 50 ohm vs 75 ohm antennas? If i was to purchase a Drive X RV for RV mobile option when driving or camping could I also use it with a Wilson Wideband Directional Antenna 75 Ohm for a fixed antenna at a cabin?
Answer: It is possible with the right connectors. You'll most likely need 2x 971165 to be able to use RG6 coax from the antenna to the amplifier. This setup cannot be used while moving. If you have any issues or if there's any other questions or concerns, please let us know! Our contact info for our US-based phone support is at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected]

Question: What is the effective range on the indoor antenna? Looking online says 3-9 feet. Concerned this is not enough. Is there another indoor antenna that can be used to increase performance inside?
Answer: You could do that! We've had people use a panel antenna instead of the small desktop antenna which may give more coverage. I would call our customer support at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected] to be able to give more information about that. You'll have to purchase the items separately in order for you to make it work.

Question: My wife and I have cell phones . Will we be able to use the 2 of them at the same time
Answer: Yes! As long as the/both carrier/s are able to pick up the signal from the outside then you should be able to use both phone at the same time. There must be signal outside for the amplifier to work with, even then, the signal will be weak and may need to be close to the inside antenna. If there's any other questions, please let us know at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected]
